DB Schenker is one of the leading logistics and transportation companies in the world, offering a wide range of land, air, and sea transportation services as well as warehousing. Founded in Vienna in 1872 by Gottfried Schenker, the company initially focused on providing logistics and transportation solutions to neighboring countries.
Within a few years, however, its operations expanded to cover the entire European continent and North America.
Today, DB Schenker operates globally, in 130 countries with a network of over 2.000 locations. In Finland, it has 7 logistics hubs and head offices covering a total of over 200.000 square meters. The client was looking for an effective energy efficiency solution for its logistics sites in Finland, in addition to the interventions already carried out to achieve its efficiency and sustainability goals.
The Project
In April 2021, 3 EP-X 1000A systems were installed at the logistics warehouse in Vantaa, Finland. The systems are installed under 3 different lines fed by 3 transformers, PK1, PK2 and PK3 respectively. In 2022 a 1000A EP-X system was installed at the logistics warehouse in Jyväskylä, Finland.
