The Project
In December 2018, was installed an 1800 A EP-X device at the Mikron Tool plant in Agno, where very high precision metal machining is carried out for standard and customized metal tools. The configuration of the electrical loads present consists mainly of machinery managed by inverters, motors without inverter and air conditioning, for a used power of about 560 kW and an energy consumption detected in 2018 of about 3,000,000 kWh:
Main cabin:
• Machinery with inverter: 61%
• Non-Inverter Machinery: 16%
• Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning: 23%
In the spring of 2019 was installed an additional 1,000 A EP-X device in the adjacent Agno plant that belongs to the Mikron Machining division, where customized systems are produced for complex metal components. The configuration of electric loads consists mainly of machinery without inverter and air conditioning, for a used power of about 480 kW and a consumption detected in 2018 of about 1,400,000 kWh:
Main cabin:
• Non-Inverter Machinery: 48%
• Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning: 50%
• Electronic lighting: 2%
