Why The Smarter E Europe is a strategic energy event
The Smarter E Europe is one of the leading European platforms dedicated to the future of energy.
The event brings together four specialized exhibitions:
- Intersolar Europe;
- ees Europe;
- Power2Drive Europe;
- EM-Power Europe.
Together, these exhibitions create an international meeting point for those working in solar energy, storage, electric mobility, smart energy management, electrical infrastructure and efficiency solutions.
According to official data, the 2026 edition is expected to host more than 100,000 visitors, 2,800 exhibitors and 200,000 square meters of exhibition space. These figures confirm the role of The Smarter E Europe as one of the most relevant events for those working in the energy transition.
For Energia Europa, participating in EM-Power Europe means entering a very specific technical conversation: how to help companies, industries and infrastructure use the energy they already consume more effectively.
Because the energy transition is not only about generating renewable energy. It is also about how energy is distributed, absorbed and managed within real systems.
To explore the topic from an operational point of view, we have created a guide on energy saving in companies, with a focus on waste, consumption and useful interventions to improve system efficiency.
Industrial energy efficiency: why start with Power Quality
When we talk about industrial energy efficiency, the first thoughts often go to machinery replacement, lighting, automation or energy production from renewable sources.
Although these are relevant interventions, in many cases they are not sufficient on their own.
In many industrial plants, part of the waste comes directly from the quality of the electrical power supply. Disturbances, harmonics, reactive energy, phase unbalance, network losses and instability can affect consumption, component temperature, production continuity and the service life of equipment.
Energia Europa works precisely on this point: improving Power Quality to help companies reduce invisible waste and make their systems more efficient.
This is the value of Power Quality: it does not promise efficiency in a generic way, but starts from measurements, electrical data and the real problems of the system.
In the European context of The Smarter E Europe, this approach becomes even more relevant. Companies are investing in increasingly advanced technologies, but they need electrical systems capable of supporting them in a stable, efficient and safe way.
To explore the role of energy quality in efficiency projects, you can also read the article dedicated to industrial energy efficiency, where Energia Europa analyzes invisible system losses and the contribution of Power Quality.

Technical approach and system analysis
In Munich, Energia Europa will bring its experience in analyzing energy quality and identifying electrical issues that can affect the efficiency of industrial systems.
The company’s approach always starts with data collection and the measurement of electrical parameters, with the aim of understanding the real behavior of the system and identifying potential inefficiencies.
Each production facility has specific characteristics: different load profiles, particular operating requirements and electrical conditions that require dedicated assessments.
This is why Energia Europa promotes a method based on technical analysis and an understanding of the application context, so that interventions are consistent with the company’s energy and production goals.
In other words, Power Quality is not only a technological matter, but a process of assessment and continuous improvement focused on efficiency and system stability.
To better understand which tools can be used to address the main electrical issues, you can explore the article on PQ Line Power Quality devices, dedicated to Energia Europa solutions for reactive energy, harmonics and network distortions.
Energia Europa, an international company with Italian roots
The Smarter E Europe is an international context. And this is exactly where Energia Europa can tell an important part of its identity.
The company was founded in Italy, but has been working for years with installations abroad too, thanks to a network of established partners and technical collaborations built over time.
This international dimension is one of the most important aspects of the company’s participation in Munich.
Energia Europa does not arrive at The Smarter E Europe to present an abstract idea of efficiency. It arrives with already installed solutions, already collected data and real applications in manufacturing companies, energy-intensive infrastructure and technically complex environments.
Power Quality, in fact, is not only an Italian issue. It is a growing need for many European companies that must reduce consumption, stabilize systems, integrate new technologies and improve the sustainability of their processes.
In this scenario, Energia Europa brings a very concrete approach: measure, analyze, intervene, verify.
An approach that combines Italian technology, application experience and collaboration with qualified local partners.
From manufacturing to data centers: two concrete examples abroad
Energia Europa’s international presence can clearly be seen in projects already carried out outside Italy.
A significant example is the SANHA case in Belgium, where the installation of EP-X 2500 A contributed to a 5.2% reduction in electricity consumption, equal to 180,000 kWh saved every year.
This is a very useful industrial case to understand what it means, in practice, to work on energy efficiency starting from the quality of the power supply.
Not only lower consumption. But also greater attention to system stability, production continuity and process sustainability.
A second example comes from Finland, where Energia Europa collaborated with OtsoSmart OY, a long-established partner active in the Finnish market for Power Quality diagnostics and the implementation of dedicated solutions.
The project involved a data center connected to Vatajankoski and E-Heat, two companies committed to an innovative energy model also based on the recovery of heat generated by server equipment.
The problem was significant: in the LV room of the data center, there were major Power Quality disturbances, including very high current total harmonic distortion, capacitive reactive energy and a significant increase in temperature.
After a measurement campaign, OtsoSmart installed an OTSOMAX-RACK-600A device produced by Energia Europa.
The installation took two days. The results were immediate:
- THDI reduced to about 2%;
- power factor improved up to 0.995;
- elimination of capacitive reactive power;
- greater stability of the electrical environment;
- reduction of energy waste linked to poor power supply quality.
This case clearly shows how important Power Quality is in critical environments.
Data centers, in fact, operate with continuous loads, sensitive electronic equipment, cooling systems, complex infrastructure and very high operational continuity requirements.
In these scenarios, improving energy quality is not a technical detail. It is a condition for making the system more efficient, more stable and safer.
