PQ-VAR

The intelligent power quality solution that enables dynamic reactive energy compensation in variable and capacitive systems, combined with precise phase rebalancing.

The PQ-VAR system is a closed-loop reactive power generator based on SVG (Static Var Generator) technology and represents a next-generation solution for the control and reduction of reactive power in an electrical installation.

This device is designed to monitor in real time the flow of both inductive and capacitive reactive power and to intervene automatically and dynamically to compensate for it, thereby improving the system’s power factor and rebalancing the currents.

PQ-VAR offers two different functions:

  • Q Mode (Power Factor Correction): For power factor correction, i.e., the compensation of inductive and capacitive reactive power.
  • B Mode (Load Balancing): For phase current balancing.

Why use a PQ-LINE device?

  • Dynamic Power Factor Correction

Rapid compensation of reactive power variations (<15 ms), adapting in real time to load conditions. The benefit is ensured for both inductive and capacitive loads.

  • Current Balancing

Through active balancing, reduction of line current unbalances, improving the balance of the threephase system and reducing resistive losses.

  • Harmonic Mitigation

Mitigation of current harmonic contribution up to the 13 th harmonic (PQ-PRO) or up to the 50 th harmonic (PQ-MAX).

  • Energy Efficiency

Reduction of overall system losses, both in distribution lines and in passive components such as transformers and capacitors.

  • High Efficiency and Low Consumption

Thanks to the innovative SiC Technology based on silicon carbide, the PQ-LINE devices ensure higher efficiency, lower consumption, increased reliability, improved performance and lighter systems.
