Today, companies face an increasingly critical challenge: high energy consumption that directly impacts profitability.
Many business energy efficiency initiatives focus on equipment or production, but overlook a key factor: how energy is actually managed within the company’s electrical system.
This is not just theory. In the real case of Forgital Group, an industrial company with over 150 years of history and active in the aerospace, aeronautical, and industrial sectors, we identified how hidden inefficiencies in the electrical network were directly affecting both energy consumption and operational performance.
This is exactly where we at Energia Europa step in, turning invisible inefficiencies into measurable energy savings.

What business energy efficiency really means
When people talk about business energy efficiency, they often think of:
- solar panels
- new machinery
- structural upgrades
In most cases, however, the real issue is not how much energy is produced or purchased. The issue is how energy is managed and distributed throughout the plant.
At Energia Europa, this is exactly where we operate:
- we optimize energy quality
- we reduce losses
- we stabilize the electrical network
Result: greater efficiency without interfering with production processes.

Why companies still waste energy
In our experience, the main issue is simple: inefficiencies are often invisible.
Inside industrial electrical systems, we frequently find:
- uncompensated reactive power
- harmonics disturbing the system
- load imbalance
- losses along the network
These issues lead to:
- higher energy consumption
- system instability
- greater wear on equipment
And above all: hidden costs that are rarely monitored properly.
This is exactly what we found in the Forgital case as well: a highly energy-intensive industrial plant, with over 8,200 kW distributed across 16 electrical substations, where inefficiencies were not immediately visible but had a direct impact on energy consumption.

Case study: Forgital Group and real performance improvement
Watch the real case study here:
Forgital Group case study – industrial energy efficiency
Forgital Group is an international industrial company with:
- approximately €400 million in annual revenue
- 7 production sites across Italy, France, and the United States
- more than 100,000 sqm of facilities
A highly energy-intensive context, where energy efficiency is a strategic lever.
As Simone Baio, the company’s Energy Manager, explains:
“The plant is particularly energy-intensive, both because of the natural gas used for heat treatment processes and because of the electricity required for machining operations.”
Simone Baio, Energy Manager, Forgital Italy
For this reason, Forgital decided to work with Energia Europa to improve energy efficiency.
The project started with a pilot installation on a 2,000 Ampere substation, powering:
- industrial furnaces
- machine tools
- office areas
Measurable results
The data collected was clear and measurable:
- +4% certified energy efficiency improvement
- around 130,000 kWh saved per year
- around 60 tons of CO₂ avoided
These results were achieved without modifying production processes.
Power quality improvement
One of the most significant aspects involved power quality.
“The plant was heavily affected by drives and inverters. After the intervention, we saw a clear improvement in the output waveform.”
Simone Baio, Energy Manager, Forgital Italy
This means:
- fewer disturbances
- greater stability
- higher overall efficiency
A scalable investment
The positive experience led Forgital to plan:
- a second 1,000 Ampere installation
- further extensions across other group facilities
This is concrete proof that the intervention generated real value.
How we work at Energia Europa
This is exactly the approach we applied in the Forgital case: starting with an in-depth analysis of the electrical network to identify inefficiencies and define targeted solutions.
To achieve real results, monitoring alone is not enough. You need to intervene directly and strategically on energy quality.

EP-X: inductive filter for energy quality
EP-X is designed to:
- reduce harmonics
- reduce energy losses
- improve overall efficiency
PQ-LINE: advanced electrical network management
The PQ-LINE range is designed to solve the most common issues in modern electrical systems, including:
- capacitive reactive power
- current imbalance
- harmonics
These are exactly the kinds of issues we identified in the Forgital case.
Within the line, we offer specific solutions for different needs:
- PQ-VAR, ideal for traditional industrial settings with variable loads
- PQ-PRO, for systems with a significant harmonic contribution
- PQ-MAX, for critical environments such as advanced automation and data centers
Aladin: advanced diagnostics
Aladin allows us to:
- identify inefficiencies
- analyze the network
- guide targeted interventions
Real benefits for companies
Working on energy quality means achieving tangible results:
- Immediate reduction in energy costs
- Greater system stability
- Reduced equipment failures
- Higher productivity
In the Forgital case, these interventions led to:
- 130,000 kWh saved every year
- reduced emissions
- better network performance
- no changes to production processes

Frequently asked questions about business energy efficiency
What is business energy efficiency?
It is a set of actions aimed at improving efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
How much can a company save?
It depends on the system, but in many cases the results are visible immediately.
Do I need to replace existing machinery?
No. There is no need to replace existing machines: we intervene by installing specific devices on the company’s electrical network, designed to improve energy quality and reduce inefficiencies.
Conclusion: true energy efficiency starts with energy quality
Many companies invest without getting real results because they intervene in the wrong area.
True business energy efficiency starts with energy quality.
At Energia Europa, we help companies turn hidden inefficiencies into measurable and lasting results.
